Owner Spotlight : Ryan Macduff, Corey Dallyn and Brian Fischer
I’m Ryan Macduff. My partners Corey Dallyn and Brian Fischer, and I are all proud owners of R&D plumbing.
I look forward to sharing our story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know us better.
Brian and I grew up and went to school in Lloydminster. Corey grew up in Chauvin and moved to Lloydminster when he was sixteen.
Corey, Brian and I bought R&D Plumbing and Heating from Don MacDuff and Roy Noble in 2011. R&D Plumbing and Heating has always been locally owned and family run. It has changed hands and names a few times over the last thirty years but has steadily grown from two people to over fifty staff. R&D Plumbing and Heating offers a variety of residential and commercial plumbing and heating services. We are in business to provide the best service possible to our community, to provide a healthy working environment for our staff, and to contribute to the community we live in. The most enjoyable part of our work is going out and talking to customers, explaining how equipment operates, dropping of patio furniture or hot tubs, or just catching up.
As owners of the business, we all have varied responsibilities. We all have our set schedules of getting our workers out of the door, attending business meetings, talking to customers, and trying to improve customer service. Brian is the new construction heating manager. Corey is the new construction plumbing manager, and I, Ryan, am the CEO. We are each responsible for running our divisions plus everything and anything else that may come up in a day; from handling purchases to delivering hot tubs or sweeping the back shop. We work anywhere from eight to eighteen hours a day depending on what needs to be done. Corey, Brian, and I work together to perform at our job. We all have our faults, but we also have our strengths and skills creating a solid balance. We attribute our success to having good people surrounding us at all times.
Besides our business, we admire local enterprises that have helped contribute and build our community. Any company that gives back to the community by supporting local kid’s sports, health foundations, and local charities is admirable.
We strongly value our friendship and are all family-orientated. When we are not working, we enjoy following the kids around to hockey, dance, ball, or lacrosse. We all enjoy fishing and spending time with our loved ones.
We feel it is important to give back to the community that helped build us. We regularly donate to the MS Society, the Cancer Society, many youth sports clubs, and other non-profit organizations.
I have enjoyed sharing our story about the things which matter to us and how they influence the way we do business.
